Fornham All Saints, Bury St Edmunds We offer a unique part-time education for children aged between 5 and 11 near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. What makes us different is the individual teaching of the core skills using Montessori methods within a focus on the environment and creativity. Our aim is to develop in children a deep care and respect for themselves, for others and for the world in which they live. We provide home educating families with a place where their children can learn and feel at home. Tuesdays:
Curve Motion First Tuesday of the month 1pm-3pm. £7 for skate OR play £8 for skate AND play. Price includes skate hire Bredfield group Bredfield Social Group runs on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at Bredfield Village Hall. It's very near Woodbridge, so a bit of a trek from Bury, but well worth it! We have a gaggle of teens in the group, along with lots of other age ranges, and although mainly a social get together for families (and a chance for the children to socialise in bigger groups) we do have regular activities such as crafts, fetes, some classes, parties etc., and a shared lunch every week (and lots of cake!). Everybody always welcome. 12 - 5, £4.50 per family.

Explore Outdoor Forest School Sessions
Nowton Park 11-16 years 10am-1pm £24 email: exploreoutdoor@acleisure.com We have moved to Nowton Park! Our Forest Schools are focused on the young people who lead the direction of learning and exploration. Participants will take part in a huge range of activities within our Forest School Site and the wider area of Nowton Park. Participants will get to develop practical skills using knives, axes and fire, as well as developing key social and communication skills interacting with both young people and instructors. We will engage explore and examine the local environment, habitats and species and how we can protect and manage these areas sustainably. We run blocks of 6 weeks throughout the year, breaking for school holidays. Only £16 per session! (£24 if paying on the day) The sessions are open to all children aged 8-14 years, and run every THURSDAY from 10am-1pm, meeting inside the walled garden at Nowton Park. Participants will need to bring a packed lunch, snacks and drinking water and personal medication. As well as warm, waterproof clothes and sun protection. Home Educators History Day Fri 24 May 2019 Kentwell is the originator of historical live educational events in the UK. Since we started, nearly 40 years ago, we've had over half a million schoolchildren pass through our gates. Our Home Educators History Day is especially for those families who have chosen to educate their children outside of mainstream schools.
